Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in psychology from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle. She is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologist and has training DBT and CBT. Additionally, Ashley incorporates techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into her practice.
In her previous employment, Ashley provided individual and group therapy in a comprehensive DBT program, and gained valuable experience working for a non-profit agency working with diverse populations with a variety of presenting issues. She has also previously worked in a residential setting with adolescents diagnosed with multiple childhood disorders and experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Ashley especially enjoys working with young adults, and her areas of interest include eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, borderline personality disorder, emotion dysregulation, PTSD, and anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder. Ashley also has an interest in sport psychology.
In her spare time, you can find Ashley riding her road bike, swimming, and running. She also loves reading, painting and photography.
